About Legal Transcription Services

Legal Transcription Services provides U.S. based legal transcription for attorneys, law firms, court reporters, and people who need a clear record of what was said. We have done this work for more than 15 years. The focus is practical: human transcripts, published rates, and turnaround you can put on a calendar.

Certified transcripts are prepared by U.S. based human transcriptionists. We do not use AI on certified work. That policy keeps accuracy, privacy, and legal validity with a person who can review a word, a name, or a speaker label, not with an automated draft. Our site publishes a 99% accuracy commitment, or your money back, backed by professional review.

Who we work with

Attorneys and litigation teams send hearing, trial, and motion audio. Paralegals and legal ops staff use the service to keep multi matter calendars moving. Court reporters use it when overflow or backup transcription is the practical way to meet a filing date. In house teams and individuals use it when they have a legal recording and need a human transcript rather than a rough machine draft.

We are not a law firm, and we do not give legal advice. We are a transcription service. We are not the official court reporter of record unless you have engaged us for overflow or backup and told us the format you need. Decisions about filing, use in court, and local rules stay with your counsel. We format to the requirements you specify.

Services

Court transcription covers hearings, trials, motions, and other proceedings formatted for legal use, including overflow and backup for court reporters who need more human capacity.

Deposition transcription covers witness exams, with speaker labels and with objections and colloquy handled in the style you order.

Certified and verbatim transcripts are available when the record has to be attested for formal use, in true verbatim or cleaned up verbatim. True verbatim keeps fillers and false starts. Cleaned up verbatim removes fillers that do not change meaning and keeps legal substance.

Spanish legal transcription and translation is a separate service at the published ASAP rate. If a deposition or hearing includes Spanish, note that on the quote so it is priced on the Spanish rate and not folded into the English table by mistake.

Timing and published rates

English court style work is offered as rush (1 to 2 business days), standard (3 to 5 business days), or extended (6 to 10 business days). Exact timing depends on audio length, speaker count, and audio quality. Longer files or poor audio may need extra time, and we confirm that when you submit.

Rates are per audio minute and are already published on the site. For certified court transcription, 1 to 2 speakers are $2.50 rush, $2.00 standard, and $1.75 extended. Recordings with 3 or more speakers are $5.25 rush, $3.25 standard, and $2.75 extended. Spanish transcription or translation is $6.00 per minute at the standard ASAP rate. A free quote is the right step when the file is long, the audio is hard, or the scope does not match the table.

How files are handled

Files move through secure upload, human transcription, review, and secure download. Access is limited to people working the matter. Our homepage states that we are CJIS and HIPAA compliant and that our processes follow that posture. We do not add certifications beyond what the site already states. Questions about handling are welcome before you upload.

How to get a quote

Send the recording through our free quote form, or contact us and describe the file. Useful details are speaker count, about how long the file is, proceeding type, certification and verbatim choices, and the date you need the transcript. We confirm scope, rate, and turnaround before work begins.

Call (888) 398 1098, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time, or email info@legaltranscriptionservices.com. The pricing page, the security page, and the short guides on the blog are the fastest way to see how we work before you send a file.
